I cannot think of a single thing that needs improvement here. Everything sits perfectly in the mix. Nothing overpowering anything. You pat yourself on the back right now.

Beautiful.

ArtificialFear responds:

Thanks for the kind words! *Pats self on back*

Wonderful blend of two different genres.

The only thing that I could suggest would be maybe a bit more of the electronic throughout? Regardless this is a solid piece. :)

ThermalLaser responds:

Thank you very much! I really appreciate your feedback, and I do agree with you. This song is going on my upcoming album and I have been consider certain section where more electronic stuff could happen.

I accept.

I think if you have the chance/opportunity, I would definitely play with a tremolo with the wub parts. I think that would give the wubs a tighter feel.

Just my opinion, love the mix as a whole!

sorohanro responds:

Thanks for the review. It's still a work in progress, so I might try some other stuff on it.

I love the drums that you have going in this, I've learned to use the double kick sparingly, much like you have going in this song.

You've got some nice dotted hits in the beginning that made my brain tingle.

Hating4AM responds:

Yeah, Superior 2.0 is the best drum sample engine I've used to far. I'm actually a little ashamed to admit I don't play any instruments, everything you hear is sampled. Guitars, drums, bass, all samples. For the guitars I use Shreddage X with Revalver MKIII.V, POD Farm, and Amplitube 3. Bass samples are from Scarbee Pre-Bass with Amplitube 3. Drums are Superior 2.0 using custom Liquorworks presets on the N.Y. Avatar kit. The synths, strings, etc. have been accumulating over 10 or so years and are too long to list lol.

If you want to hear one of my better (original) songs where I used POD Farm, check out this link: http://soundcloud.com/hating-4-am/celebrate

PF puts out such a crushing, brutal tone.

Interesting cover. I'm liking the synthy lead you have going on this. I'm definitely going to take a stab at doing something like this in the future. :)

Hating4AM responds:

Excellent! I'd love to hear it when it's complete! :)

I am seriously digging this song as an entity. Everything about this from the musical aspect is awesome.

From a production standpoint, I would definitely lower the drums in the mix. They take away from the rest of the instrumentals since they are over powering. Not bashing on the the actual drums, just where they sit in the mix.

Give me moar.

ApexMACHINE responds:

Firstly, a huge thanks for checking out my track and giving an informative and positive review. I really appreciate you taking the time to listen!

Unfortunately, my monitors are currently corpsebait, so I had to mix on my headphones (Which is a big no no in final productions.) So I will give it a re-work after I add some vocals and give the master a lower drum volume. Thanks for the input!

I love hearing this kind of voice in metal music.

I second the Devin Townsend comment about the vocals, your instrument tracks however are less of a wall-of-sound. Which personally I prefer, you're able to pick out every track.

Love this!

Ronique responds:

Thanks! I tried to get the mix as clear as possible. There's no point in adding tons of layers, if the end result is just a mush of random sounds.

Great riffs, and production quality, the drums sit so good in the mix.

I haven't been in the audio portal in forever, I recognized your name but couldn't remember your style, and then I heard all of the Tom Morello style guitars and it all came flooding back to me.
